Snorkel Bear swim (SNRKLBR) is an independent label bringing back your favourite vintage and retro vibes through functional cuts, quirky prints and sustainable fabrics.

The SNRKLBR label was born and raised in 2015 in the sunny coastal town of Byron Bay by founder Laura Smith. Laura is both designer and director and started the label after constantly  struggling to find swim pieces as good as her much loved vintage treasures. The market seemed saturated with poorly cut, mass produced pieces that failed to last the test of time.

  • Started 2015
  • Moved to sustainable fabrics in 2017
  • Back then sustainable fabrics were hard to come by and there was little knowledge around this industry
  • Lots of time and money on research
  • It’s now common for manufacturers to stock fabrics like this
  • Proud to say we are one of the first in Aus to use this fabric
  • Laura now works alongside a small dedicated team who work hard at creating individually designed prints and cuts for all the SNRKLBR babes out there.

Surrounded and inspired by the pristine coastline in Northern NSW has meant sustainability is a core part of SNRKLBR. Laura works hard at implementing sustainable practices across all areas of the business and hopes to inspire SNRKLBR girls to do so too. For more information on SNRKLBR practices have a read here.
